Annual General Meeting 2018 of Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China – Shenyang cum Celebration Luncheon on 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-up of the Country

Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce in China – Shenyang (HKCCC-SY) organised on 8 July 2018 in Shenyang a luncheon to celebrate its 4th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up of the country. The Acting Director of the Beijing Office of the HKSAR Government, Miss Pamela Lam, Vice Chairman of Shenyang Political Consultative Conference, Ms Han Xiaoyan, representatives from relevant departments of both Liaoning Provincial Government and Shenyang Municipal Government, as well as over 230 members of HKCCC-SY, other friendly chambers of commerce and representatives from local enterprises were invited to attend the event.
Officiating guests including Miss Pamela Lam, Acting Director of the Beijing Office of the HKSAR Government (8th on the left), Mr Kilian Tung, Director of Liaoning Liaison Unit of the HKSAR Government (6th on the left), Mr Paul Cheung, Chairman of HKCCC-SY (9th on the left) proposed a toast on the stage.
Miss Pamela Lam, Acting Director of the Beijing Office of the HKSAR Government, remarked in her speech at the luncheon that Hong Kong had long been Liaoning’s largest source of foreign direct investment. For the past 40 years of reform and opening-up, people and enterprises from Hong Kong were devoted to the development of Liaoning and had been making tremendous contributions to mutual development Hong Kong and Liaoning. She expected Hong Kong and Liaoning could cooperate at a higher level and in various fields in the future.
Mr Paul Cheung, Chairman of HKCCC-SY, pointed out in his speech at the luncheon that the economic and trade relation between Hong Kong and Liaoning had remained close given the great efforts of people and enterprises from Hong Kong. He encouraged members of HKCCC-SY to continue to foster closer ties between Hong Kong and Liaoning and contribute towards the development of both Hong Kong and Liaoning at the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up of the country.
