The Dedicated Team for Attracting Businesses and Talents under the Beijing Office aims to promote various schemes and policy incentives for business and talent attraction to the 10 provinces / municipalities / autonomous regions covered by the Beijing Office. Specific roles of the team include:

  • Proactively reach out to target enterprises and talents
  • Negotiate with target enterprises by providing appropriate information and assistance, and introduce the enterprises to the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises for special facilitation measures
  • Promote Hong Kong’s opportunities and advantages, various enterprises attracting schemes and new policy incentives
  • Collaborate with the work of the Talents Service Unit and provide talents who are interested in coming to Hong Kong with information and assistance

Investment Promotion Unit

As one of the teams set up in the Mainland by Invest Hong Kong of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the main missions of the Investment Promotion Unit (IPU) are to promote the business advantages of Hong Kong to the 10 provinces/municipalities/autonomous regions covered by the Beijing Office, encourage Mainland companies in those regions to open or expand their overseas businesses in or through Hong Kong and assist investors to set up offices in Hong Kong. For Mainland companies interested in setting up offices in Hong Kong, the IPU offers a series of free advice and support services, including:

  • Provide the latest information about the economic environment and investment opportunities in Hong Kong;
  • Provide advice and practical support about setting up business in Hong Kong, such as company and business registration, application for licences, trademark registration, working visas, staff recruitment and selection of office premises etc;
  • Liaise with relevant Government departments, organisations and Chambers of Commerce etc;
  • Provide information on business matching;
  • Arrange for public relations and publicity activities; and
  • Provide continuing assistance
